Lorry Speeding

Today I witnessed the most ridiculous thing that has happened on the road. A lorry was speeding on the right extreme lane all the way from AYE (Jurong Town Hall Road) to AYE (Lower Delta Exit). I didn't exit my usual exit at Alexandra and continue to give chase to this lorry until the Lower Delta exit. He was really daring as the traffic at that time (around 7am) was actually quite heavy. Behind the lorry was loaded with big containers probably used to keep vegetables. This video is a bit shaky because I was trying to catch up with the lorry and I was probably going at around 95km/h. The lorry was going at 100km/h!

A day goes by without...

This video was captured on the entrance into AYE (Jurong) from the flyover along Keppel Road. You can see how fast the van was going (about 90km/h) on the right lane. It was going downslope from the flyover and imagine what would have happened had the van lost control? Another day goes by without seeing vans speeding on the extreme right lane...Sigh ya...

Van speeding on Farrer Road towards Lornie Road again

This is getting out of hand! I have bumped into a speeding van driving on the extreme right lane along Farrer Road flyover towards Lornie Road again!

I didn't continue filming this van but let me describe to you what he did later. He filtered all the way to the extreme left lane, wanted to exit PIE before Lornie Road. Then as the van was beginning to exit, it suddenly went back to the right lane and drove towards Lornie Road! Totally absurd! Just what was he thinking?! The traffic was heavy and it was raining and this idiot resorts to this kind of driving behaviour!

Taxi irritates the most

I didn't managed to take a video of what this taxi driver did, but i'm going to let all of you know that this taxi is a WHITE MERC CAB, SHB6622. So let me describe the incident.

We both exit from Jurong Town Hall Road into Jurong East Ave 1 (along the SPC petrol kiosk). After I turned into Jurong East Ave 1, I was on the left lane (which is the correct lane I should enter), but this cab, as usual, enter into the right lane. Then he has to stop as there were a cab and a lorry which were waiting to turn right. After I passed the first pedestrian crossing, I signalled my right signal light to filter to the right lane as I have to turn right at the next T-Junction into Jurong East St 21. This Merc cab, which was behind me, filter left. As I was approaching the T-Junction, this Merc cab suddenly came in front of me and turned right! As he was rushing to turn, he didn'tm see that there was a pedestrian (a cyclist in fact) crossing the pedestrian crossing, so the Merc cab has to jam brake. Damn irritating isn't it?!

I hope his cab company-COMFORT, can see this entry. Once again, this irritating cabby drives a WHITE MERC CAB, SHB6622.

Speeding on a Wet and Rainy Day

Nowadays, I have observed that many vehicles do not slow down their speed even when it's raining cats and dogs. I caught this blue lorry speeding along Commnonwealth Ave West. It was driving at 90km/h, with heavy load behind it's boot, on a wet and slippery road.

I also managed to catch a short clip of this lorry speeding. The black van behind the blue lorry was driving within the speed limit of 50km/h as it headed towards Clementi Ave 6. You can see how fast the blue lorry was going and pulling away from the black pick-up behind it.

Yesterday, there were at least 4 accidents on the road reported in the news. 1 was fatal. How long more do we need to wait before we start to learn to drive with care and caution.

Yesterday's fatal accident on Loyang Way.

Vans speeding on extreme right lane

In this video, you first see a Nissan Sunny giving way to the vans by moving to the centre lane then going back to the extreme right lane after the vans have passed it. These 2 vans were behind me when we were along Commonwealth Ave West, heading towards the Cross Junction of Farrer Road. After we turned right to Farrer Road, these 2 vans behind my car cut across the shoulder and went straight to the extreme right lane. As it was about 540pm on a normal weekday, there was congested traffic along the whole stretch of Farrer Road before we reached Lornie Road. They were moving along with the traffic until they reached the flyover that connects Farrer Road to Lornie Road. Then they started to drive at 90km/h. The Nissan Sunny in front of them has to actually give way to the 2 vans by switching to the centre lane! How ridiculous is this!!! These 2 vans' speed limit is only 70km/h, a slower vehicle and hence, shouldn't even be on the extreme right lane! And then you see them racing on that lane at 90km/h. Totally absurd and unacceptable!

Irritant of the day

- Slow vehicle on the extreme right lane

I caught this lorry driving on the extreme right lane along Boon Lay Way(from the road outside Chevron to Clementi Avenue 6). I suspect if the driver will turn right into AYE after Clementi Ave 6 and that's why he was using the right lane. He was driving at about 80km/h. I wonder if he really needs to be on the right lane for so long even if he has to turn right at the next junction.
